The first graffiti school in Africa.

RBS Akademya was founded in late 2021 by the RBS Crew Collective. Composed of more than 30 members now working around the world, this collective has been active for over a decade, both in Dakar, the collective’s city of origin, and internationally. After 12 years of sharing their knowledge on an ad hoc basis, the collective decided to create the first visual arts school specializing in graffiti on the African continent. From self-taught learning to exploring new techniques, RBS members share their passion and expertise through five complementary courses in this discipline, which is a pillar of hip-hop culture.

In this course, we teach students how to use and master aerosol spray cans, the iconic tools of graffiti and urban art. From safe handling to precise application, we cover the essential techniques for accurate spraying.

digital art

In this course, we teach students to understand and master the digital tools essential to contemporary visual art.
From Photoshop to Illustrator, including digital drawing, students are introduced to the basics of graphic design, illustration, and visual composition.

Through practical exercises and a creative approach, they learn to develop their style, refine their eye, and produce digital works in line with the codes of urban art.

This is an essential module for those who wish to develop their artistic practice using today’s tools.
